Passion and Sexual Violence: An Issue of Biological Determination?

The article deals with the relationship between sexual passion and sexual violence against women. It describes two seemingly contradictory explanations of the phenomenon - psychobiological-evolutionary theory of biological determinism and feminist theory - and provides research data supporting both approaches. The author's argument is that the psychobiological-evolutionary approach neither justifies nor legitimates sexual violence against women; it simply describes the phenomenon's evolutionary sources.
