The concept beauty encompasses biological-evolutionary aspects but also variables whose influence on our behavior remains vague. Although it often appears that we blindly turn to the more beautiful amongst us in response to some genetic preference that was somehow engrained in our being, human behavior often defies this assumption. We frequently do not choose an objectively beautiful person, a phenomenon still to be explained.
