Female Beauty as Oppression

Beauty as a pure idea is unattainable, priceless and related to God. Female beauty is a commodity: valued, owned and exchanged by men. The tragedy is that women, by adopting a false consciousness, have collaborated with their exploitation and trafficking: They use a man's gaze to value themselves and other women. It's time that we women accept ourselves and fight for equality, that we define our own Standards of feminine beauty.
