The Judaic meaning of Happiness is not rooted in wealth or material goods, contrary to what the majority of people in contemporary capitalistic society believe and are trained to think. Surprisingly, Happiness rests on being satisfied with what a person has been given by the Almighty. Whether this be great or meager material wealth, those who are content with what they have will be content with themselves. Those who seek wealth will never be happy because what they have is never enough; they can always acquire more. Those who have acquired great wealth are burdened by the incessant need to protect their property, which leads to sleepless nights. The moral: The more people seek wealth, the more they estrange themselves from Happiness.
