Parental Violence in Israeli Children's Literature

A review of contemporary Israeli children's and adolescent literature reveals that the majority of stories dealing with parental violence paint a portrait of the child-hero as subject to extreme violence, the product of forces totally beyond his control. The article's purpose is to demonstrate how these stories contribute to efficient social confrontation with family violence.
