The pleasure provided by satisfaction of sexual desire and love, genetically encoded in the animal and thus in the human world, has motivated the development of our distinctive cultures. By doing so, pleasure contributes to sustaining life even if this involves exploitation, tactical acrobatics and even considerable physical pain. This fact, apparent since the dawn of history among different species in the <ingdom as well as the human kingdom, is reflected in the values, beliefs and geographic location of greatly diverse cultures and religions.
